Self-Hosted agent instead of default Microsoft hosted - Azure DevOps pipelines - Windows OS supported? #841
-
Hello, Recently we've encountered some long runs due to the size of our environment, and we realized that this is because of a limited capacity (CPUs) on the ADO Agents. We have already our own beefy agent pool with 64CPU VMs, that runs on Windows. In the documentation and articles I've read here about agents I always see there's references to agents running ubuntu, but nowhere have I seen a strict requirement to use AzOps only on Linux agents. Thanks! |

I haven't tried running on Windows but as long as you have the required tools installed I don't see why it wouldn't work. The requirements are documented here: https://github.com/azure/azops/wiki/self-hosted |
