What are the use cases for this requirement?

I only have an internal use case for this - when retreiving records from conservation lists as part of building the taxonomy, not having the kingdom and family meant it was hard to disambiguate homonyms. We've gotten around it by duplicating taxon fields in the files that get upload. We add a preface of raw (i.e rawKingdom) so those values come back in the KVP.
