Dedicated IPv4 address is the lifeblood of this project, and charges for a dedicated IPv4 address threatens the very existence of this project, to provide free tunnels (within free tier) to those who are unlucky enough to be caught in CGNAT hell.
We all know that IPv4 address is exhausted now, and this change is expected. According to docs it is expected that it will cost about $2/mo, and according to this post it is expected to take effect on January 1, 2024.
According to my invoice in November 2023, it is true that dedicated IPv4 address cost $2/mo, but it is noted below saying "We will start charging for dedicated IPv4s soon. Until then, this is just a preview."
According to this post, there is an undocumented feature that everything under $5 bill monthly is waved, this could potentially allow us to get 2 free dedicated IPv4 address per month ($4/mo) if we don't exceed the free tier, but I haven't tested this because I use prepaid credits as I don't have a credit card.
I still don't know yet if "everything under $5 bill monthly is waved" are also applicable on prepaid credits, I will see if my $25 credits on my fly.io account will gets consumed on January 1, 2024. If it gets consumed, then I'm forced to shut down everything that I host currently on fly.io, and sadly, this project will go unmaintained as well as I will not use this project anymore, unless I will get a credit card. But hopefully if my credits did not get consumed, then everything will get back to normal.
