The following instructions explain how to install and uninstall .NET Framework Early Access builds.
You can install the early access build by downloading the latest build and then running the installer. The installer and license links are provided below.
The installer will look like the following:
You can validate the build was correctly installed on your system, given your Windows version:
- Windows 10 Creators Update, Windows 10 Anniversary Update, Windows Server 2016 -- you can find this as Update for Microsoft Windows (KB4020259) under Installed Updates in Control Panel.
- Windows 8.1 / Windows Server 2012 R2 -- you can find this as Update for Microsoft Windows (KB4020235) under Installed Updates in Control Panel.
- Windows Server 2012 -- you can find this as Update for Microsoft Windows (KB4020211) under Installed Updates in Control Panel.
- Windows 7 SP1 / Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 -- you will see the Microsoft .NET Framework 4.7.1 as an installed product under Programs and Features in Control Panel.
