The following instructions explain how to install and uninstall .NET Framework Early Access builds.
You can install the early access build by downloading the latest build and then running the installer. The installer and license links are provided below.
The installer will look similar to the following:
You can validate the build was correctly installed on your system, given your Windows version:
- Windows 10 version 1809, Windows 10 version 1803, Windows 10 version 1709, Windows 10 version 1703, Windows 10 version 1607, Windows 8.1, Windows 7 SP1, Windows Server 2019, Windows Server version 1803, Windows Server version 1709, Windows Server 2016, Windows Server 2012, Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 -- you can find this as 'Update for Microsoft Windows (KB4087461)' or 'Update for Microsoft Windows (KB4087485)' under Installed Updates in Control Panel depending on the Windows 10 version.
- Windows 10 version 1809, Windows 10 version 1803, Windows 10 version 1709, Windows 10 version 1703, Windows 10 version 1607, Windows 8.1, Windows 7 SP1, Windows Server 2019, Windows Server version 1803, Windows Server version 1709, Windows Server 2016, Windows Server 2012, Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 -- Go to Installed Updates in Control Panel. Select 'Update for Microsoft Windows (KB4087461)' or 'Update for Microsoft Windows (KB4087485)' depending on the OS platform. Click uninstall and follow steps.
