Is it possible to hide the task bar item?

I'm writing a speech recognition app, I want to show the speech text directly on the screen.

I found the examples/transparent works for such scenario, but how to hide the taskbar item:

The framework itself offers no such functionality, and you may need to write some code to hide it.
