I wanted to thank you for this app. Great job.
I do have some features and improvements I would like to suggest, let me know what you think.
Visibility
As a FOSS app, it would be beneficial to publish it on AlternativeTo so it gains more visibility.
I submitted it already for you here, hope this helps people to discover QuranApp.
Improvement: Bookmark menu
Currently, the bookmark menu is only accessible from the home page > top right lateral burger menu > bookmarks
Adding a bookmark icon on the Qur'an page (next to starred surah's icon or merge it with it) would be great.
Feature: Prayer times
I know the app is focused on the Qur'an, but a prayer times feature would make it a one stop app for the muslim's journey. Location could be detected or entered manually and the app sends silent or adhan notifications for prayer times (options).
Feature: Desktop port
QuranApp is the best FOSS app for muslims, it would be great to port it to desktop as well. I don't know if Kotlin is port-able to desktop, is it ?
Windows OS currently has over 70% market share of global computer systems. Porting it to Windows would bring in more users and popularize the app as cross-platform. Mac OS and Linux are fine as well if it can be done without too much hassle.

I have searched the existing issues and this is a new ticket, NOT a duplicate or related to another open issue.
I have written a short but informative title.

The page you share is not found. Btw, what is the QuranApp alternative to?
The bookmark button is used for individual verses but the start icon is for the whole Surah. How would it help?
I really wanted to add more features but this app is solely for Quran and related stuff. Also, it is privacy focused. We don't ask for any sensitive permissions.
That's right about the windows but people usually use a browser instead of an app in PCs. Also, I am lacking time to extend this to other platforms.
I had to submit the app on AlternativeTo, it has been approved now so the link should work.
Have you considered having one bookmark button for starred ayahs and full surahs, an all-in-one manager that shows both on the same page for easier discovery. And add that button on the qur'an page as well so we can have access to bookmarks faster.
Ok got it.
Oh, so rather a web app than a native app. I understand the lack of time.
