Slow start-up (5 sec..!) with multiple profiles (even on nvme storage) #803

System Details

  • OS: Windows 11 23H2
  • Thorium Version 126.0.6478.231

Problem
If Thorium is being used with a single user profile, no issues. But, if a user creates 2 or 3 extra profiles, the browser starts to lag at start-up. When launched, it takes about 5 seconds to display the profile selection window. This happens even after disabling all extensions on all profiles.

Additional Notes
Does Thorium have anything like Firefox Profiler which can be enabled at start-up ? I don't know if such thing exists, but if it exists, please mention how to profile the start-up. I'll provide any logs I get.

@abhi-deshpande Hmmm. I don't use multiple profiles, so let me see if I can re-create this on my Windows machine.
