Walkthrough guide thingy
This page contains some sort of walkthrough where you can find more details on each component and a theoretical path you should follow to smoothly progress. It may become a proper guide, it may stay as this, it may become both of them, who knows? So mysterious :o
WARNING: the following guide is only supposed to give a recommended path/tips on how to approach this Addon; it is not strictly necessary to follow the steps in this order or do everything mentioned but doing so will ensure a steady progress. If you want to discover the Addon on the go (which I totally suggest you do) STOP READING NOW! You can always come back if you are lost :)
The first components you should aim for are the Quirp Oscillator, the Quirp Annihilator and the Quirp Scatterer, so unlock those first: they are needed to, respectively, generate Quirps (base ingredient for everything!), create Quirp Condensates (another fundamental ingredient) and use the latter to create easy energy, which you will need in great quantities. You will also need a Nanobot Crafter for most crafting recipes (it's a Multiblock! You don't craft it!) so make sure to prioritize getting one.
Tip: while it is obviously viable to create a high tier energy generation setup in the end, you'll only need a temporary one for the first few minutes; I recommend only bringing a couple of mid game generators to get started - it will save a lot of time and headaches!
The Quirp Oscillator will generate Quirps of all spins with equal chance (25% each) as soon as you power it: don't worry about the purple slot, we'll use it later on. It is highly recommended you use cargo to automatically extract them and send them in chests (possibly separating all spins!) otherwise the output slots will clog and whenever a Quirp of a different type than the ones in there is generated it will be lost.
Quirp Condensates are the next required crating ingredient AND they also work as a very sustainable energy source which you'll want to swap to soon: for them we'll need a Quirp Annihilator! Simply input two opposite spin Quirps (up-down/left-right) and you'll get what you aim for.
Power generation can now come into play: craft a Quirp Scatterer and feed it Condensates for easy energy! You can feed it Quirps as well but they only refund the exact amount of energy needed to produce them so it's just a waste of time.
Next big item we'll need: Zots. These are required to craft Daxis (the end game objective of the Addon) but take some time to "mature": they in fact need to be charged in a Zot Overloader, which will add 1 to their charge for every 1 Quirp of the same spin (or 16 of the same spin if the Quirp spin and the Zot spin don't match) consumed as input.
In order to craft them we'll need to go through Untable Ingots and slowly turn them into Stable Ingots to craft the Stable Block. This can be done using a Stabilizer, where adding a Condensate to them will bring their instability down by 25% at a time.
WARNING: Unstable Ingots WILL EXPLODE if held for more than a few instants and they will INSTANTLY KILL you when they do. Not only that: if you have any Unstable Ingot in your inventory when one of them explodes, NONE will drop. You should either be very quick or (way better!) use cargo to move them around.
When charging up Zots a lot of Quirps are gonna go bye bye, especially if the spin doesn't match. This is where Polarizers come in! Remember the purple slot in the Oscillator? Put a Polarizer in it and the chance to get Quirps of the same type will increase to 40%(*) each while the other two types will go down to 10% each. This way you can get a lot more Quirps of the spin you need!
Another good way to use up leftovers or convert Quirps to the type you want is using the Quirp Cycler: this will rotate the spin of whatever Quirp you put in by 90 degrees clockwise. It can be useful when RNG hasn't been friendly or to focus on charging a particular Zot.
(*) This chance is configurable so depending on the server you're on it may have been changed
Craft dem Daxis! Simply right click one to apply its effects until death. The potion effect varies in level AND it can be overridden: applying a higher level effect will work fine and only stay for the correct amount of time (though unfortunately it will still show **:**) and your previous effect will take over once this extra one runs out.
Drinking milk WILL NOT remove Daxi effects but death WILL! On death you are given back 8 Stable Blocks meaning you only need 1 extra Nether Star to craft each Daxi you had activated (but you'll still need to charge the Zots).
WARNING:
- Holding a stack of Daxis and right clicking will consume them ALL! You only need one of each type anyways, their effect doesn't stack if you activate multiple of the same type.
