  1. Add a higher level summary/workflow figure and para
  2. FAQ on common issues faced and how it was resolved
  3. Video demo of showing end to end usage including installation
  4. GUI release and demo of usage of GUI

Those are great ideas -- A github.io page could also help to make things more visually inviting. I think it would work very nicely with items 1-3 in your list.
