Events spanning multiple days show up in the calendar (.ics) export/feed from Tracker. Here is an example from my calendar:

This is inconvenient, especially when we do rentals during more intense times of the year.

It would be nice to be able to hide events from calendar without unpublishing them, such as:

  • automatically hiding/truncating eventdates that span multiple days
  • storing them as ics all-day events
  • introducing a checkbox to include/exclude events in the calendar feed
  • adding either of the first two options as an parameter in the .ics link, such as how the date range can be selected (https://tracker.abtech.org/calendar/generate.ics?startdate=2023-10-16&enddate=2024-9-16).

What if when it spans multiple says it separates into two events for start and end? You can have 0-minute events technically in ICS calendars.

Just saw this issue, but I'm pretty sure in my gcal they correctly show up as multi-day events instead of big chunks. I'm not sure if this was fixed between now and then, or if it's a calendar software issue.
I don't have a screenshot now but I can make an event and test it out when I get home.
