Hi

When I scan in qcode, the phone starts the logging in process, but webtogo just stays on the qcode screen

Then get a failed login message on the phone doing the scanning

If i then force close webtogo, qcode no longer shows up instead stays on the "loading messages" screen?

Have tried on different wifi networks at different locations

any ideas please, any logs i can forward?

Just to comfirm, i have the exact same issue. When refreshing, it seems to be logged in, as it states trying to download messages, but on the Phone it already expired and is not logged in. Tried to refresh while the phone is still in "logging in" mode, same result eventually, expires.

I had the same problem with version 1.7.3.

Reason was, the app insisted starting in dark mode although the system was generally set to normal ("light") mode.

Reverted to version 1.7.2, the app started the qr code login process in light mode and everything went fine. In connected state, upgrade to version 1.7.3 was possible and 1.7.3 works as expected.

This behaviour of forced start in dark mode on first start of the app @ v1.7.3 is present on Realme 6i / Narzo 10 / RMX2040 / Android 11.

EDIT However, this is hard to reproduce...

hmmm, didnt work with me (motorola g7 plus)

tried version 1.7.2. and 1.7.1 (toggling dark/light mode)

real shame really miss this app :(

Same here, going back and toggling didn't help & yess miss this app a lot !

weird, for most it's still working. Just to be sure, can you all please try

  • log out / delete all WAWTG app data
  • log out from all your Whatsapp Web sessions from your primary whatsapp phone
  • try if login works on "normal" wa web
  • try logging in in WAWTG (in light mode)

Done that as per above to be sure, logged all out all existing sessions, cleared cache and data and tried again (light mode) with the same results.

Logging in via various Browsers work.

This work for me with v1.7.3 : change to light mode, scan, it's work.
Unable to connect in dark mode, "normal" web connection with brower of a computer works well too.
I haven't delete the apps data.
