Make a sheet to explain how to proceed to read an math expression:

  • decomposition of the expression left/right member,
  • distinction between variables and parameters,
  • understand what are the different objects: scalar, vector, matrix, function, model...

example:
The expression of the cost function for a linear model (theta0 + theta1.x^(i)).

Explain also the notation for a vector/matrix: differenciation between the object and the elements of this object
