XMLSpy generates the schema error when validating the following element definition in the secure content schema...
<xs:element name="cipherdata" type="xenc:CipherData"/>
The error generated is "'xenc:CipherData' must refer to an existing simple or complex type."
If the simple element definition is changed to the following, the XML validation is successful...
<xs:element name="cipherdata" type="xenc:CipherDataType"/>
